2023 was another great year as I managed to invest more time in reading books. This year I did not buy many books and tried to use public library resources. This year's theme was more on Biographies, Leadership, and Venture Capital. All of them are my favorites as they offer a wide range of perspectives on different topics.

Reading for me is the opportunity to find my own space and a way to learn new things. I am always curious to explore unknown territories and learn from other perspectives.

The list of my books is as follows:

  1. The Ride of a Lifetime: Lessons Learned from 15 Years as CEO of the Walt Disney Company by Robert Iger
  2. What It Takes: Lessons in the Pursuit of Excellence by Stephen A. Schwarzman
  3. Shoe Dog: A Memoir by the Creator of Nike by Phil Knight
  4. The LEGO Story: How a Little Toy Sparked the World’s Imagination by Jens Andersen
  5. Fall in Love with the Problem, Not the Solution: A Handbook for Entrepreneurs by Uri Levine
  6. Leadership — The Multiplier Effect by Andy Cope
  7. The Implosion of Public Transit and the Case for an Infinite Game by Khaled Shammount
  8. Start with Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action by Simon Sinek
  9. Prisoners of Geography by Tim Marshall
  10. Zero to One: Notes on Startups, or How to Build the Future by Peter Thiel and Blake Masters
  11. Hit Refresh: The Quest to Rediscover Microsoft’s Soul and Imagine a Better Future for Everyone by Satya Nadella, Greg Shaw, and Jill Tracie Nichols
  12. The Happiest Man on Earth by Jaku Eddie

You can already find my learning from each book. My favorite book is “Building Blocks of Success: Lessons from The Lego Story Book”. It is an inspiring story that how the founder kept his faith to build one of the most creative companies. An inspiring story of a person who defeats all odds to achieve big success.

Hoping to continue my reading habit in 2024 and will try to share atleast 12 books next year.
